Subtraction of two decimal fractions

The number of digits after the decimal point should be equal before subtraction.

If the number of digits is not equal, make them equal by adding zeros at the end.

31.004 – 17.2386

31.004 is written as 31.0040 to make four digits after the decimal

Now we do the subtraction

31.0040

17.2386

=13.7654
