We do examples of prime factorization.

The mathematical proof for prime factorization is discussed in the next classes.

Prime Factorization:

Any number n > 1 can be written as the product of prime numbers.

Example:

81 can be written as 3 * 3 * 3 * 3.

Example 2:

We understand the easy method of writing prime factorization.

Take the number 100.

Find the least possible prime number that divides 100.

2 is the least prime number possible to divide. We get 50.

2 is the least prime number that divides 50. we get 25

5 is the least prime number that divides 25. we get 5.

we repeated this process and got 2 * 2* 5* 5.

Example 3:

Take the number 289.

289 prime factorization is 17 * 17.

17 is the least prime number that divides 289.
